Christian Calemmo, AIA

Christian is co-­founder of Christian Rae Studio, LLC. For the past 18 years he has been working with clients to create some of Fairfield and Westchester’s most distinguished and unique designs.

He began his career working with Rich Granoff of Granoff Architects in Greenwich, CT. He also worked with Vita Design Group in Westport, CT on many residential and commercial real estate development projects. Experienced in working with individual clients for custom design as well as developer-lead models, Christian brings creativity and capability to deliver projects that exceed design expectations and meet the financial plan of his clients.

These experiences enabled him to co-­found Christian Rae Studio. Drawing on the firm’s ethos of holistic design, his projects have effortlessly integrated environmentally responsible strategies. He has designed projects in the Hamptons that were awarded with LEED Silver and Platinum certification for their environmentally sustainable features.

Extending his creativity beyond residential architecture, Christian provides design and branding services for restaurants and other commercial and hospitality projects.

Christian holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Philadelphia  University (now Jefferson) and studied at the American University of Rome. Christian is a licensed architect in Connecticut and New York.

Wayne Beers, Associate AIA

Since 2017 Wayne has been a project manager and architectural designer at CRS. He is integral to the architecture studio practice developing high-end residential homes and commercial projects.

He has over 26 years of experience in architectural design, artistic renderings, construction documents and detailing.

Wayne is a member of the Paradise Township Planning Board and is actively involved in multiple charitable community organizations. Wayne is a graduate of Johnson College.

Rachel Calemmo, LC LEED® AP

Rachel Calemmo is co-founder of Christian Rae Studio, LLC. She orchestrates light, color, materials and space to create visually appealing environments which ease the demands of modern life. Rachel engages all aspects of project design, construction, and management. Her commitment to the total design experience led her to specialize in lighting. She earned the Lighting Certified (LC) designation after successfully completing the NCQLP Lighting Certification Examination. Her technical skills enable her to complete each design challenge from conception to final installation; resulting in projects representing a broad range of scale, scope, and budget consideration. Rachel is also a LEED® Accredited Professional who designs each project to a high standard balancing aesthetic expectations and energy efficiency due to the important role energy consumption and cost plays in an overall building life cycle. Her vision is focused on collaboration with clients, architects, designers, and engineers from the onset of a project integrating the lighting seamlessly with the architecture.  Rachel studied at the American Intercontinental University in London and holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Philadelphia University.

Christopher Rountos, AIA

Chris joined the CRS design team in fall of 2021.  After 10 years as co-owner and manager of The Spinning Wheel restaurant in Redding, CT, he has returned to his true passion of architecture bringing with him his years of entrepreneurial experience. 

He began his career at Robert A.M. Stern in NYC as a design associate working on various high-end residences.

Chris has a strong understanding of craft and detail gained through several years working at Kent Bloomer Studio designing and fabricating architectural elements such as gates, light fixtures and other custom metalworking.

Chris holds a Master’s Degree from the Yale school of Architecture and is a licensed architect in the State of Connecticut.
